Reverse Mintmark
1917-S 50C Reverse Mintmark MS65 NGC. The 1917-S Reverse
Mintmark half dollar is slightly more plentiful than its Obverse
Mintmark counterpart, though only marginally so at the Gem grade
level. Finer examples of the issue are rare, especially in an NGC
holder since most are PCGS-certified. The current coin displays
mottled pastel iridescence across satiny mint luster, and the
design elements show bold definition. NGC Census: 30 in 65 (1 in
65+), 5 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PU, PCGS# 6573, Greysheet# 6716)
