Description

1919-D Half Dollar, AU58
Unusually Well-Struck

1919-D 50C AU58 PCGS. CAC. Light silver surfaces retain ample satiny luster and are complemented by sumptuous streaks of toffee and russet-brown. The 1919-D comes notoriously weakly struck, with less than half the detail on either side, according to Bowers. This piece is a notable exception, with the facial features fully defined and an outline of the hand visible.(Registry values: N1793)
