Description
MS62 Semi-Key 1919-S Walking Liberty
1919-S 50C MS62 PCGS. Despite a reasonable mintage of 1,552,000 pieces, the 1919-S ranks among the rarest issues in the series in Mint State. Collectors of the day concentrated on earlier series, and when coin folders arrived some years later, most remaining 1919-S halves were in Fine or lesser grades. This satiny example has light almond-gold toning and only minor blending on Liberty's cheek and branch hand. Marks are unimportant for the grade.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24R2, PCGS# 6579, GSID# 6720)
