Description
Select Mint State 1919-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar
1919-S 50C MS63 PCGS. Bruce Fox noted that this 1919-S issue had the highest mintage of the year with the result that the issue was saved less. We would like to add that the west coast had many fewer collectors to save coins at the time of issue, so nearly all examples immediately entered circulation. Two different Mint State 1919-S Walkers are offered in the present sale. This select MS63 example if fully original with ivory luster and splashes of golden-brown toning.(#6579) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24R2, PCGS# 6579, GSID# 6720)
