Description

1920-D Walker, MS64
Well Struck With Bright Mint Luster

1920-D 50C MS64 PCGS. Only 1.5 million pieces were struck of the 1920-D half and it ranks fifth in the series in rarity in mint condition. What is surprising is not its ranking, but the fact that it tends to be underappreciated by collectors who do not specialize in early Walkers. The surfaces seen here are softly frosted and remarkably bright considering the golden-rose and pale lilac toning seen on each side. The strike is above average, one might even say strong, for the issue.
