Description

1920-D Walking Liberty Half, MS65
Frosty and Razor-Sharp

1920-D 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. The feathers are sharply defined on the eagle's trailing leg -- nearly 90% full -- and some thumb separation is visible on the obverse for this Gem '20-D Walker. Frosty mint luster shines brightly through a faint patina of clear, pale-gold. Although slightly more available and noticeably sharper than its predecessor, the 1919-D, the 1920-D is very scarce in Gem condition and rare any finer.

This example is housed in a green label holder and is at the upper end of its grade level as confirmed by the CAC endorsement. A few tiny, scattered marks are unseen in-hand and visible only with a loupe. The coin appears mint-fresh and free of most distractions that plague the early Denver issues of the series. Population: 45 in 65, 6 finer. CAC: 7 in 65, 3 finer (6/16).
