Description

1920-S Walking Liberty Half, MS65
Challenging Issue in High Grade

1920-S 50C MS65 PCGS. Ex: Betty's Walkers. The San Francisco Mint struck an adequate mintage of more than 4.6 million Walking Liberty half dollars in 1920, but relatively few high-quality examples were saved by contemporary collectors, making the issue challenging in high grade. This spectacular Gem example offers well-detailed design elements, with just a touch of the usual softness on the wreath hand and eagle's leg. The lightly marked lustrous surfaces exhibit highlights of jade-gray and amber toning and ample eye appeal. This coin will be a welcome addition to a fine collection or Registry Set. Population: 60 in 65 (10 in 65+), 10 finer (11/25).(Registry values: N4719)
