Description
1921 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS65+
Low-Mintage Key Philadelphia Issue
1921 50C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Flanked by its equally rare
mintmarked counterparts, the 1921 Philadelphia issue claims the
second-lowest mintage of the series at just 246,000 pieces. Only
the 1921-D shows a lower mintage (208,000 pieces struck). All three
1921 issues are exceptionally rare in Gem or finer condition when
sharply struck with exceptional eye appeal like this lustrous
example. One of the few coins to receive both the PCGS Plus designation and CAC endorsement, the coin is frosty with ice-blue highlights and pale rose-gold accents across both sides. Liberty displays a well-defined head and branch hand, while feather detail on the eagle's leg is faint but present. Mint luster flows beneath the attractive patina. A few tiny ticks need a lens for viewing. Population: 57 in 65 (3 in 65+), 4 finer. CAC: 12 in 65, 2 finer (6/16).
