Description

1921-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS64
Key Date With Vibrant Luster

1921-D 50C MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1921-D Walking Liberty half dollar boasts a series-low mintage of 208,000 pieces. The issue is an acknowledged key date and is always in demand from series enthusiasts. The present coin is a pleasing near-Gem example with outstanding eye appeal. The most impressive factor in this specimen's appearance is the blazing, vibrant mint luster. While luster is generally good on the 1921-D, the satiny texture usually restricts the flashy quality that is so apparent on the coin offered here. The strike is typical of early Walkers, with some weakness evident on the central devices. However, some important detail can still be observed on Liberty's hand and head, and the eagle's breast shows much fine definition. Population: 92 in 64, 33 finer (5/10).(Registry values: N2998)
