Description

1921-D Half Dollar, MS64
Popular Branch Mint Key

1921-D 50C MS64 PCGS. One of the widely recognized keys among Walking Liberty half dollars, the 1921-D has the lowest mintage of the series with a mere 208,000 pieces struck. It is scarcer than the Philadelphia issue of this year but not quite as elusive as the San Francisco product. Examples are occasionally seen in MS64 but seldom finer. This impressive Choice specimen exhibits well-detailed design elements, with a touch of the usual softness on the wreath hand and eagle's leg. The well-preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster, with outstanding eye appeal. PCGS has graded 44 numerically finer examples (11/25).(Registry values: N2998)
