Description

Lustrous 1929-D Half Dollar, MS66

1929-D 50C MS66 PCGS. Despite its relatively paltry mintage of just over a million, tenth lowest in the series, the 1929-D is one of the more common early date Walkers in all grades. However once it rises to the MS66 level of the present coin, it becomes formidable in its own right, and it is virtually unknown finer. Lustrous surfaces feature light green-gold color, deepening to brown in the extreme peripheries. The few surface abrasions that exist are difficult to find, even under magnification. Housed in a green label holder. Population: 61 in 66, 1 finer (11/08).
