Description

1935-D Half Dollar, Well-Struck MS66+
Among the Finest at PCGS

1935-D 50C MS66+ PCGS. The 1935-D Walking Liberty half dollar is a challenging branch-mint issue. Most examples grade no finer than MS64. Gems and Premium Gems are scarce and Superb Gems are virtually unobtainable. The lustrous surfaces of this MS66+ piece exhibit a better strike than ordinarily seen. For example, considerable separation is apparent between Liberty's thumb and index finger on the branch hand and the eagle's breast displays considerable feather detail. Additionally, each side is minimally marked, again unusual for a date that is plagued by scattered abrasions. The only mark of any consequence is a short one on the neck of Liberty. Eye appeal is terrific. Population: 23 in 66+, 0 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N2998)
