Description

1943-S 50C MS65 Prooflike PCGS. Any Walking Liberty half dollar issue is rare with a Prooflike designation. This is the only 1943-S so graded at PCGS, and NGC reports merely three coins in Prooflike (7/25). Moreover, this is one of only two Prooflike Walkers at PCGS of any date, and it is the finer of those two; the other Prooflike PCGS coin is a 1941-S in MS64 Prooflike. The coin is mostly brilliant but tinged slightly golden, and the fields are most reflective. Moderate central strike softness is noted, although it is not unusual for this issue. Population: 1 in 65 Prooflike, 0 finer (7/25).
