1938-D 50C MS67 PCGS. The Denver Mint inexplicably produced just 491,600 half dollars in 1938, the lowest mintage of any Walking Liberty half dollar issue after 1921. This Superb Gem is an extraordinary beauty, and it is tied for the finest certified at PCGS or NGC. Both sides display brilliant silver luster with a crescent of gold toning at the lower obverse.
