Included are: 1940-S, well struck and brilliant; 1941, lightly toned; 1942, bright and untoned; 1942-D, sharp strike and untoned; 1943, very pale violet color; 1943-D, brilliant; 1943-S, well struck and bright; 1944, violet color on both sides; 1944-D, sharply struck; 1944-S, rich, golden color; 1945, untoned and sharp; 1945-D, fully lustrous; 1945-S, full mint bloom; 1946, white brilliance; 1946-D, pale golden color; 1946-S, deep, gunmetal blue and gray colors; 1947, another bright coin; 1947-D, fully brilliant.
