Description

1932-D 25C MS64+ PCGS. The 1932-D quarter is unquestionably the key date in the series, even though its mintage is slightly higher than its well-known counterpart, the 1932-S. The Bowers reference estimates the Denver issue is perhaps 5 to 10 times scarcer than the San Francisco issue in Select Uncirculated or finer grades. This high-end Choice Mint State piece is sharply struck with natural silver-gray color. Mint luster glows beneath the light patina, with bits of reddish-brown toning at the margins. A few hidden lines on Washington's head and a trio of tiny nicks on the eagle's right (facing) leg are noted. Population: 31 in 64+, 90 finer (11/16).(Registry values: N491)
