Description

Estimable 1932-D Quarter, MS65

1932-D 25C MS65 PCGS. The 1932-D is the long standing key issue to a complete set of silver Washington quarters, and yet today it remains as one of the rarest issues in high grade. While the mintage figure of 436,800 coins was actually higher than the 1932-S, the present issue is still harder to find, especially in high-grade, and it is always in demand. In A Guide Book of Washington and State Quarters, Dave Bowers writes: "Today, with collectors' interest catalyzed by the state quarters, the classic 1932-D in a grade such as MS-63 or M-64 (never mind the even rarer MS-65) is a magnet for bidders in an auction sale." This piece is fully struck with frosty mint luster beneath outstanding golden-brown and iridescent toning.
