Description

Heavy Motto 1934-D Quarter, MS67
Elite Example of Underrated Variety

1934-D 25C Heavy Motto MS67 PCGS. CAC. The Guide Book lists "Light Motto" and "Heavy Motto" varieties for the 1934 quarter but not the 1934-D. As PCGS recognizes, however, "Heavy Motto" 1934-D quarters do exist and are important to Registry Set collecting with varieties. This Superb Gem is one of just two MS67 examples of the subtype certified by PCGS with none numerically finer (11/12). Silver interiors, wider on the frosty reverse, give way to bold colors around. Orange and violet hues are most prominent, though related shades such as a paler yellow-gold and light blue also are present.
