1934-D Heavy Motto Quarter, MS67
Attractively Toned, Needle-Sharp
1934-D 25C Heavy Motto MS67 PCGS. CAC. The Guide Book
lists Light Motto and Heavy Motto varieties for the
Philadelphia-issued 1934 quarter but not for the Denver issue. The
1934-D Heavy Motto is also unlisted, thus far, in the
Cherrypickers' Guide. As PCGS recognizes, however, Heavy
Motto 1934-D quarters do exist and are important to completing a
varieties-inclusive Registry Set. This Superb Gem is one of just
four MS67 examples of the subtype certified by PCGS with none finer
(10/14). Silver interiors, broader on the frosty reverse, give way
to bold violet-orange and ocean-blue color around the margins,
