Description

Conditionally Unsurpassed 1935-D Quarter, MS67

1935-D 25C MS67 NGC. In just the third year of the Washington quarter series, a relatively small mintage of 5.78 million coins were struck at the Denver Mint. While not in the same league with the 1932 issues, the 1935-D is still an important semi-key date for collectors, and not many Superb Gem examples are available. This piece has a beautifully original appearance that is highlighted by intense mint frost and variegated shades of pastel toning over each side. Boldly struck with excellent surface preservation, as expected for this lofty grade. Census: 7 in 67, 0 finer (5/08). (Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 244E, PCGS# 5798, Greysheet# 5650)
