Description
The Ultimate 1940 Washington Quarter
MS68, Sole Finest Certified
1940 25C MS68 PCGS Secure. CAC. This is the only MS68
example of the 1940 Washington quarter so graded by NGC or PCGS
(11/12). As such, it is the ultimate "stopper" for high-end
Registry Set collectors of both services. Fortunately for
collectors who like their coins attractive in addition to
high-grade, this also is an eye-appealing example with bounteous
semifrosted luster and attractive partial patina. Gold, orange, and
reddish-brown toning appears at the upper obverse and lower
reverse, while the remainder of the piece is silver or faintly
toned gray. As expected of the grade, both sides are almost
flawless. From The David Poole Collection of Silver Washington Quarters.(Registry values: N991)
