1958 Quarter, Registry-Grade MS67+
FS-901, Type B Reverse
1958 25C Type B Reverse, FS-901, MS67+ PCGS. The rare Type B
Reverse has sharper design definition than its plentiful Type A
Reverse counterpart. Since 1958 proofs have a Type B Reverse, it
appears that proof dies no longer suitable or requisite for proof
production were used to strike coins for commerce, as an economy
measure. This is the single finest PCGS-certified example; a Superb
Gem with lovely peripheral ruby-red, golden-brown, and jade-green
