Description

Conditional Rarity 1960 Quarter, MS67

1960 25C MS67 PCGS. Most of the late silver Washington quarter issues after 1955 were high-mintage affairs, with Philadelphia making fewer than Denver but both making many millions of coins per year. Most are poorly struck and/or extensively bagmarked, precluding the Superb Gem grade (and often several grades below that). This happy exception shows quicksilver surfaces with blazing luster and only a single mentionable field graze near the L of LIBERTY. Population: 9 in 67, 0 finer (1/13).(Registry values: N208)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 246K, PCGS# 5868, Greysheet# 5641)

Weight: 6.25 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
