Description

1963 Quarter, MS67
Doubled Die Obverse

1963 25C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS67 PCGS. A popular Cherrypickers' variety, showing prominent die doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST and the date. This example is boldly struck and beautifully preserved. Ice-blue luster resides beneath amber and gold peripheral overtones, with dappled russet and lavender accents throughout the interiors. As a date, the 1963 Washington quarter is scarce in Superb Gem condition, and this piece has the distinction of the being the single finest FS-101 representative attributed by PCGS (9/15).
