Description

1964 Quarter Dollar, MS68
Sole Finest Certified at PCGS

1964 25C MS68 PCGS. The final issue of silver quarters in 1964 prompted the Mint to produce series-high mintages at both Denver and Philadelphia. An enormous mintage over 560 million pieces was struck in Philadelphia, but the issue is surprisingly scarce in Superb Gem. This remarkable MS68 is the sole finest 1964 at PCGS, and is tied with just one other at NGC (3/26). For PCGS Registry collectors, there is not equal example. The sharply struck devices are layered in warm, satiny luster and are bordered by subtle hues of ice-blue, sea-green and rose-gold.(Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 246U, PCGS# 5876, Greysheet# 5645)
