Description
1976-D 25C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS65 PCGS. FS-101 is easily the most significant die variety of the Bicentennial type. LIBERTY is nicely die doubled, and IN GOD WE TRUST also shows a minor spread. FS-101 is clearly scarce, since most examples in NGC and PCGS holders are in circulated grades. In fact, the present lot is the single finest certified (5/19). The stone-gray surfaces are smooth save for a single delicate diagonal line on Washington's neck.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# B764, Variety PCGS# 146087, Base PCGS# 5897, GSID# 374392)
