    Description

    Pristine 1942 PR68 Quarter

1942 25C PR68 PCGS. Golden-brown and powder-blue hues grace the borders of this seemingly immaculate Superb Gem. The fields have satiny luster but are also mildly reflective. The pre-1950s proofs had minute mintages by today's standards, and although the 1942 issue is the most available among the early proofs, improper storage and handling has reduced pristine survivors to a mere handful. Population: 5 in 68, 0 finer (10/07).
