Large German World War I Iron Medal. Cast iron, uniface, 91 mm, 95.2 gm. This hefty medal features an eagle perched on a snake-embraced globe, the dates 1914 in left field, 1917 in right field, DURCH SIEG ZUR WAHRHEIT (to the truth by victory) around. Dark ebony coloration with virtually no signs of handling. An interesting and historical German medal from World War I.Auction Info
