1794 1/2 C --Damaged, Tooled--ANACS. VF Details, Net VG8. B-2, C-2, R.3. This coin represents a variety with a close date and a long fraction bar on the reverse. The variety comes with either Small or Large Edge Letters, but the holder prevents an examination of the edge. There are a number of small digs, with the most conspicuous ones present at the top of the obverse. The central reverse has shallow depressions and marks from tooling. The patina is a lighter shade of tan-brown than usually seen for a long-circulating early Half Cent.

An important coin despite the impairments.

Both sides of this Cent exhibit heavy pitting from corrosion, but the details of this important type are still apparent. The patina is maroon-brown with lighter shades on the hair of Liberty, and an area of dark red-brown at the left obverse.

1800 H10C Fine 12 ANACS. V-1, LM-1, R.3. Attractively toned with light lavender on the devices and a darker violet in the fields. There is a rim depression at 5 o'clock on the obverse, also seen at 2 o'clock on the reverse, which is a planchet flaw and is as struck. The upper reverse has a loss of detail that is die related and diagnostic to the variety. There are no obtrusive abrasions. A nice candidate for a circulated early type set.

1894 10C MS64 ANACS. The surfaces of this flashy near-Gem are uncommonly well preserved and free of abrasion. The centers are brilliant-white, with hints of gold at the peripheries. Several long, interesting die cracks (as struck) are seen on the obverse. There is a small lamination, also as struck, under the denomination. A lovely Barber Dime from a date that is tougher to find than many of its peers at this level of preservation.
