1863 1C PR65 Cameo NGC. The 460 proof 1863 proof that were produced are from a single die pairing, and it is reliably estimated that today no more than 150 pieces have survived in all grades. This example is tied with several others at the second finest certified tier with a total of 12 pieces certified by the major services. This is a beautiful proof striking that shows full "white" coloration on the reverse, with light tinges of orange and lilac on the obverse. A premium example of this scarcer copper-nickel proof.

1909 1C PR66 Red NGC. This first-year in the Lincoln Cent series was produced both with and without the designer's initials on the lower reverse. This is the more frequently seen variant, and it is an enchanting coin. The surfaces retain full mint luster with a mixture of original orange-red and slightly deeper red coloration on each side. The fine-grain finish has an overlay of bright, satiny mint luster and there are no mentionable or noticeable contact marks on the obverse or reverse.

1913 5C Type Two PR67 NGC. This is an elusive proof Buffalo Nickel from the early period of the series. The certified population of this issue is so small that Lange (2000) believes a decent number of coins must have been melted as unsold at year's end. This Superb Gem displays a bright appearance with peripheral shadings of reddish-golden patina on the obverse. The color is much more vivid on the obverse, and both sides are essentially devoid of distracting blemishes. Fully brought up, as befits a specimen striking, and worthy of inclusion in the finest specialized collection. Population: 32 in 67, only 5 are finer at NGC (4/05).

There is some original, moderate intensity, lilac, deep gold, and ice-blue patina over both sides, all features of which are free of bothersome handling marks. A few scattered carbon speckles are mentioned for accuracy. The 1915 is somewhat more difficult to locate than the 1914, but it is still among the more frequently offered dates in the proof Buffalo Nickel series of 1913-1916.

1839 10C No Drapery MS67 NGC. No Drapery Dimes were only struck for three years and they are an important and widely collected type coin. This is one of the finer examples known. The striking details are fully defined in all areas with pinpoint definition on the star radials and the folds in Liberty's gown. A smattering of antique-golden and lime-green patina decorates the obverse, the reverse is similar but deeper in tone. As one might imagine, the surfaces are virtual perfection with no obvious abrasions evident to the unaided eye on either side. A wondrous type coin and seldom offered in such a superior state. However, it is a very scarce issue, especially in mint condition, and one that bears no relationship between its true rarity and its mintage of more than 4 million pieces. This is a lovely and obviously original coin whose surfaces are highly lustrous. Each side is covered with appealing hues of multicolored patina dominated by crimson-red and antique-gold colors.
