1977 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck on a 1977 Dime--MS67 NGC. An impressive example of this desirable double denomination error. Roosevelt is face down relative to the bust of Lincoln. Roosevelt's head is virtually fully outlined, and the ears of the presidents are merged. Dates from both strikes are unmistakable, the Cent date near Roosevelt's chin, the Dime date is beneath TRUST. The Lincoln Memorial divides the sprigs from the prior Dime strike. Lustrous and essentially as made, aside from faint gold toning acquired over time.

1896 1C Error Indian Cent--Double Struck, 2nd Strike 70% Off Center--AU55 NGC. The first strike was normal, but the coin failed to eject from the die and was struck a second time at 11 o'clock relative to the initial blow from the dies. The second strike is widely off center toward 2 o'clock. A sharply struck and unabraded Indian cent with rich mahogany-brown color and only a whisper of verdigris.

1943 1C Cent--Struck on Silver Dime Planchet--XF45 PCGS. An interesting wrong-planchet error that at first looks like a regular issue zinc coin, but the size is just not quite right. A bit softly struck around the margins, as wrong-planchet errors usually are. The surfaces are silver-gray with medium gray accents around the devices and peripheries. Lightly worn over the highpoints, indicating this piece probably circulated for several years before someone noticed something was different about this coin.

1980 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck on Dominican Republic 10 Centavos Blank--MS64 NGC. 2.5 grams. The U.S. Mint struck various denominations of Dominican Republic and Panama coinage in 1980. A lustrous silver-gray example, well preserved save for a few faint slide marks beneath the memorial. Bluntness of strike on the devices is expected, given the undersized planchet. A Type One planchet with no sign of a raised rim.

1982-D 1C Large Date Lincoln Cent--Double Denomination on Struck Dime--MS64 PCGS. A lustrous and lightly toned example that shows much of the undertype. Roosevelt's head overlaps that of Lincoln, and the ONE DIME and ONE CENT denominations are appropriately jumbled. The date of the dime is partly legible near the tip of Lincoln's coat. A faint fingerprint near 9 o'clock is unimportant.

Of the cent's date, the 88 is sharp, and the 9 is partial. All four digits of the dime's date are present, as is its mintmark. Roosevelt's bust is fully outlined, and oriented nearly upside down relative to the Lincoln Memorial. A thin luster graze near 3 o'clock, but the preservation is otherwise outstanding.

Undated 5C Type Two Buffalo Nickel--Off Center, Scratched--ANACS. Fine 12 Details. Struck 15% off center toward 7 o'clock, the date is absent and the mintmark area is indistinct. Despite its uncommon off center appearance, this example circulated for some period, presumably as a pocket piece. Eventually, a series of moderate pinscratches were made by a non-numismatist to confirm authenticity.

1916 5C Error Buffalo Nickel--Struck 10% Off Center--MS65 NGC. Although designated by NGC as off center, all design details are intact, and the piece has the appearance of an uncentered broadstrike. A wide arc of blank flan is seen on the lower obverse and upper reverse. The thick, satiny mint luster is overlaid by deep gray-olive toning on each side. Sharply defined and undisturbed.

1919-? 5C Buffalo Nickel--Split Planchet, Obverse Only--MS63 PCGS. 2.3 grams. A typical Buffalo Nickel weighs 5 grams. This slate-gray piece split in two along the edge after the strike. The obverse half is present, and is undisturbed aside from a pair of tiny laminations (as made) on the neck. The 'reverse' is striated and exhibits a ghost-like outline of the bison and plain.
