1928 25C MS 67 Full Head PCGS. The muted dirty-gold iridescence that dominates both sides yields to darker highlights about the lower obverse and upper reverse peripheries. Unlike numerous branch mint survivors, this example exhibits bold head definition as well as razor sharp delineation throughout the balance of the features. Similar in availability to the 1927, the 1928 also shares the former issue's elusiveness at the Superb Gem level of preservation. PCGS reports only 3 examples in MS 67 Full Head with none finer, but NGC has not graded a single example above MS 66 (9/99)--facts that place this coin comfortably within the Condition Census of the issue.
